Because Pinterest Is More Than Just A Time Suck

Ha ha ha!! I love this cartoon. Come on, you know that's you.

Yes, I am one of the few pinners who actually USES the things I find on Pinterest! I'm here today to share some of my success stories with you!

clean stove top

I used this method to clean my glass cooktop- worked like a charm!

smart.

I now have over-the-door shoe holders on both my laundry room and linen closet doors. These are PERFECT for those of us who stockpile couponing deals. I love having so much extra shelf space freed up!

The following are all recipes from Pinterest that I have made:

I want these soooo bad right now.

Yes, these brownies are as ridiculously decadently delicious as they look.

Cream Cheese Pound Cake - literally the BEST pound cake recipe. I've made it quite a few times, with additions like blood oranges and dark chocolate, caramelized apple and toffee chips, etc...

As is this creamy cream cheese pound cake. (No joke, my brother found the crumbs of this dry and crunchy still on the cake plate over a week old and he said it was still delicious- gross, I know, but that's saying something.)

Cheese and Bacon Potato Rounds - a sensational appetizer! Superbowl finger food!

Made these delicious little potato morsels for our Superbowl party yesterday. I added some chopped chives to them as well. Mmm.

Baked Cauliflower Poppers - they taste like french fries!

And these roasted cauliflower poppers made their debut at our Superbowl party last night as well. My adorable little nephew, who is two, has to eat vegan due to allergies and the kid couldn't get enough of these. They really do taste like french fries! Definitely making these again.

The "perfect" queso blanca dip

Last but not least, this queso blanco dip really is just like the kind you get in the restaurants!
Much to the joy of my husband and the other friends and family at our Superbowl party. :-)

So I've been quiet over here, but I've been busy! Now that our crazy month of giveaways is over at Mormon Mommy Writers I will hopefully be able to post more and reconnect with all of my beautiful thrifty friends!

How about you? Have you "pinned and then performed"? What have you been up to?

  1. I haven't done it YET...but I'm going to! I saw the Momma and Me Journal where you and your daughter (or son) write notes to each other in a notebook and pass it back and forth. Hide it under their pillow, or something fun like that. Ashlyn is SOO excited!
